Central Idea: Observation and description of changes in the world around us are
the first steps in finding and learning about patterns.
Essential Question: What are some of the variables around us?
Write a report summarizing the data Tony collected on day one of the tour. Describe the distance traveled compared to the time. Look for patterns and change in the data. Be sure to consider the following questions:
How far did the riders travel in the day?
During which time interval(s) did the riders make the most progress? The least progress?
Did the riders go futher the first half or the second half of the day's ride?
=========Together, Sidney, Liz, Sarah, Celia, and Malcolm started a bike tour in Pennsylvania. There goal for the first day is to reach Atlantic City, New Jersey. For a hour and a half, they didn't travel any miles because they probably took a break. They traveled a distance of 89 miles on day one. When it was nearly the end of the day, they slowed down probably because they got really tired ( or/and because of rough terrain such as hills, rocky/bumpy roads etc.) So they went the furthest in the first half of the day.===== By SAYM====
